Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Is Aware of Your Season 2 Predictions — And She Has Good News

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel arrives on Prime Video this week, and audience theories has been widespread.

The first season introduces a diverse group of personalities residing in Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds accompanied by musical numbers detailing their conflicts, and builds heated competitions and emotional bonds that fuel audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 differ greatly, but certain threads emerge over and over: Will a fan-favorite character break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the binding agreement affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with fan service specifically in mind," the showrunner stated recently. "But I feel like me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have already been green-lit by the production companies, which finance the series.

That might mean fans have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how fast season 2 progresses, and how many of what they're waiting for unfolds now.

"I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it," she adds. "We get some firsts. I think we receive some incredible disclosures, some really cool backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — especially in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've seen a couple people make a bingo card about season 2," she mentions. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've actually done a few items, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on the streaming service on October 29.
